Favortie Cable Television Show

My favorite cable television show on cable is Degrassi. I don't really watch tv as much and but out of the shows I've seen, Degrassi is one of my favorite shows. This show is about teenage drama and life. It includes many episodes about events or situations teenagers and youth are involved in such as drugs, sex, alcohol, fighting, backstabbing, cheating, puberty, lying, stress and even death. Degrassi is the high school all the characters go to and start all the drama in. I think I am a very likely person to be interested in this show. Since the show includes such drastic, hectic, and serious issues, the target audience would most likely include teens, like in the show, in their high school years. It has bee airing since the 1980s in Canada. The producers of this show are Linda Schuymer and Stephen Stohn. Linda Schuymer would have probably known about a lot of youth stress because she was a former teacher. Degrassi: The Next Generation is originally a Canadian show broadcasted in CBC, but in the United States, the show airs on PBS and The N/Noggin. It is owned by Viacom, who are the same owners of Nickelodeon. It’s rise in popularity came when it started airing on The N, and also, when Kevin Smith was guest starred in a few episodes. I think in the near future Degrassi will make its way into regular network television. The way the show has been progressing throughout the years, it seems very likely.
